NIKE MOCK CAMPAIGN (2021)
“Commercial Design” Course - Final Project
Assignment: Execute a campaign for an existing company that targets an entirely new audience.
Nike has dominated the market for decades, but most of their reach is younger people, especially with exclusive sneaker drops. Since sneaker culture is so ingrained into our society, this will allow the older generation to tap into their youth again, creating a new appreciation for the older generation as consumers.
WHY
Nike, specifically Jordan and Nike SB, will use current social media figures who are of older age as the face of their campaign so that older consumers will see faces that look similar to theirs. Rather than seeing young faces, they will be able to see people of their own age in the most desired and hyped sneakers.
HOW
This campaign will be named “The OG’s.” Nike will be marketing their Jordans and Dunks towards consumers 50 and up. This campaign will encourage them to embrace their youthful spirits and participate in competitive hypebeast culture. The faces of this campaign will include Alojz Abram and more to show the older generation that they too can be “dripped out".”
